Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work of irrigation projects which are under construction in Narmada Valley Development Department should be completed soon and preparations should be made to dedicate them. Special attention should be paid to the quality and time limit in the work. Chief Minister apprised himself by reviewing the projects. He said that there should be no delay in completing the projects. All the Construction agencies which are not completing the work on the time will be blacklisted. Construction agencies should be instructed to work expeditiously. Work together to complete the projects on time. These are important projects of the MP state, which are associated with the life and welfare of the public.
Chief Minister was reviewing the irrigation projects of Narmada Valley Development Department in Mantralaya. Minister of State for Narmada Valley Development Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources and Vice Chairman NVDA S.N. Mishra along with other officers were present in meeting. Collectors of respective districts were connected virtually.
Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction
Chief Minister said that sincere efforts should be made to complete the Badnawar Micro Lift Irrigation Project. He expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the construction work of the project. Chief Minister was satisfied that the work of Saver Micro Lift Irrigation Project is being done on the time. The Narmada-Kshipra multi-purpose project should be dedicated in June. He also discussed with Collectors Khargone and Dewas regarding the projects. The Chief Minister directed that the work of the first phase of the Indira Sagar Project, Kali Sindh Micro-Lift Project should be completed by 25th September. Complete the work of Kukshi Micro Lift Irrigation Project and Pati Micro Lift Irrigation Project expeditiously. Testing of the almost complete Nagal Wadi Lift Micro Irrigation Project should be done.
Displeasure over delay of three years in construction work
Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the delay of 3 years in the work of Balakwada Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme (Phase-1). He directed the construction agency Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited to complete the work by 30th June. Action will be taken to blacklist construction agencies if project work is not completed within the prescribed period. The Chief Minister said that the works of Pipri Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Bistan Micro Lift Irrigation Project and Bhikangaon Binjalwada Micro Lift Irrigation Project should be completed expeditiously. The work of these projects should be completed by June 2023 anyhow.
There should be no delay in the work of Chhipaner micro lift irrigation project
Chief Minister Mr Chouhan said that there should be no delay in the work of Jawar Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Khalwa Lift Irrigation Project. The Chief Minister said that he had also gone to see the work of Chhipaner Micro Lift Irrigation Project. There should be no delay in the work of this project. Directing the construction agency Shapoor Ji Pallon Ji-PC-APL (JV) Mumbai, he said that if the work is not done quickly, blacklisting action will be taken. The work of Dudhi project in Narmadapuram and Chhindwara districts is progressing on time. Similarly, the work of Shakkar Screw Link Joint Project is also progressing on the time. Ghat and shore protection work under construction in Sehore district should be completed by June.
